Sit on lap, No cry

That was Harper's mantra for about a week before we went to see Cowboy Santa at Lakeline Mall.  We had already seen Santa at Faubion Elementary the week before.  Harper did not want to sit on his lap, but we did watch as happy children sat on his lap and received a candy.  We watched for ten minutes. For the next week Harper talked about visiting Santa.  Her exact words have been "Sit on lap, No cry, Smile!"  And that's exactly what she did! So proud of my little girl!

I LOVE this picture.  It's like she is giving Matt and I the "see Mom, I CAN DO THIS!" smile.

She even let Santa put a reindeer hat on her!

When Santa asked her what she wanted for Christmas, Harper said "Cookies and Chocolate".  I think we can make that happen.  Oops! I think Santa can make that happen!

Christmas time at Sea World

We LOVE going to Sea World during the holidays. They decorate so nicely and Harper loves "Mamu" (Shamu).  We had a great time!

Beach Holiday

This Thanksgiving week we went to Port Aransas.  It was such a nice getaway!  Take a look.

Harper loves playing the guitar with our friend Dan!

Chasing birds.  Nothing better.

Bonfire night! Harper helped her dad dig a hole for the wood.

Toasty tootsies!

Harps and Jalie

Harper LOVES the beach!!  She is a Cali girl at heart!

Let's Go STARS!!

The Friday after Thanksgiving we were able to go to a hockey game.  We had a blast!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree!

When we had Harper in 2010, Matt and I made a BIG decision. At Christmas time, we vowed to only buy real trees.  We love the smell and the "realness" of them.

This year, we decided to go pick it out at The Elgin Christmas Tree Farm.  We had so much fun!! Definitely a yearly family tradition has begun!

Harper wants that one

Mattie had to cut it down!

Our tree!

The "shaker" shakes off all the yuckies off

They even had a playground

Dia de los Muertos

We went to a celebration/parade at Central Market.  There was music, dancing, and skeletons.  What more can a two-year old ask for??

Brobee came along for to dance

She was really trying to mimic the dancers

This is Halloween!

My sweet Bumblebee had a blast on Halloween! She only went to a few houses before we turned around and went back to Brigid and Eddy's house.

Love that smile!
Cheesing it up!

Harper thought the houses in Tia's neighborhood were too scary

Too scared!

Happily people watching at Tia and Tio's house.

painting pumpkins

Daddy brought some art supplies home to paint pumpkins.
We made some messy pumpkins, but it was a lot fun!

Our artist, with the same intense facial expressions as daddy!
