So, I've done it. I have joined a group that I honestly said I NEVER would join. I got a mini-van. And I LOVE IT! Here's the story:
So, I had a 2005 4-Runner, 4x4, V8 with 133,972 miles (to be exact). I LOVED that car. It was the best car I have ever had, hands down. We knew it needed a lot of work, and about 2 weeks ago, we bit the bullet and took it to the dealership to have work done. After a lot of work and money went into it, my car was driving better. YAY! I could keep my car!! 4-Runners can easily go to 200,000 miles with TLC. Well, a couple of days after we got it back, it started to make a weird noise, then the power was just gone. Wouldn't even go above 25 mph. Crap!
Matt took it back to the dealership where they said it was something small that they could fix in 10 minutes. NOPE! They said it would be another $3800 to fix what else was wrong. We just couldn't justify spending even more money on a 7 year old car with that many miles.
I shed A LOT of tears that day. I did not want to get rid of my 4-Runner! I wasn't ready or mentally prepared. The 4-Runner represents so much to Matt and I. We have gone across the country more times then I can remember in that car. We drove to Yukon Territory and Alaska in the 4-Runner. But I had just told Matt a few weeks ago that the new mini vans are seriously so cool, and I just knew that it would be my next car. I just didn't know it would happen so soon!

| Summer 2005. Good times! |
 |
| Yup, that's a glacier in the background |
 |
| Not sure which road trip we were packing up the car for. |
 |
| On our way to NOLA to help with Hurricane Katrina rebuilding. |
So there's my story! We traded in the 4 Runner and I got a 2011 Toyota Sienna. The end of an era. It literally feels like one chapter of our lives has come to an end. But I am so excited to see what new chapters we will write in our new mini van!
